The Leagues of Votann, also sometimes called Squats or Demiurg, set out to explore the galaxy from ancient Terra many millennia ago.  Currently, they inhabit a region of the universe called the Galactic Core where few others dare to go.  Living in Large mining colony cities called Holds, they endlessly mine resources just to survive.  Every member of the Leagues is a clone and when they die they rejoin the Ancestor Core to further the pursuit of information.  Knowledge is valued above everything else and the Leagues will stop at nothing to acquire it!
