A Song of Ice and Fire Stark Bowmen

The forests and hills of the North have long honed the skills of the Stark bowmen. Clad in the simple furs and leathers of their homeland, these warriors are trained from youth in the art of the bow, learning to stalk through snow and woodland alike. They favor longbows crafted from northern yew, capable of striking enemies at great distance with deadly precision. Though lightly armored, their discipline and knowledge of terrain make them formidable skirmishers, able to harass advancing foes, pick off key targets, and slow enemy advances until the heavy infantry of Winterfell can engage.
